WHAT ARE LIGHTROOM PRESETS?
Just in case you don’t already know, Lightroom Presets are like Instagram filters, but BETTER! It is colour correction, lighting correction, white balancing, saturation (and a lot more) rolled into one single setting ;)
They allow you to create stunning edits on your photos in quite literally under a minute. I know because I created my presets about six months back and have been using them ever since.
Plus, they give your Insta feed a cohesive look (not that it matters, but I am kinda OCD about that stuff).
And ANYONE can use them and that too FOREVER once you’ve bought them. Doesn’t get easier than that.
WHAT IS LIGHTROOM?
If you’re on this page, it’s highly unlikely you don’t know what Lightroom is. But we’ve gotta try and cater to everyone who walks through these doors. So, in short, Lightroom is a photo editing and photo colouring program by Adobe that allows photographs to develop their pictures in whichever way they like. It is by far, the most COMPREHENSIVE photo editing software out there.
Adobe currently offers three versions of the software: Lightroom CC (desktop), Lightroom Classic CC (also desktop) and Lightroom Mobile (Android and iOS app)
Lightroom Mobile can be downloaded and used for FREE (with limited functionality but in most cases, you hardly need anything more than the beginners version). And you can use all your presets on here too :D
The desktop versions of the software can be used by paying a monthly subscription fee (if you’re doing photography professionally, this is 100% worth the investment)
WHY DO I NEED PRESETS?
Because you like simplicity in life and you don’t want to spend HOURS editing your photos, trying to get them to look perfect. Plus you can have a cohesive look across your Instagram and/or blog without beating yourself up about it. Win-win!
WILL THESE PRESETS WORK ON ALL PICTURES AND IN ALL SITUATIONS?
I know you know the answer to this already. It’s never a one-size-fits-all.
Every picture is different, clicked in different lighting and settings.
So while the preset can be applied to any picture in your gallery, the outcome it gives can look different depending on what the raw picture looked like.
But fear not! The best thing about presets (unlike any other filters out there) is that you can tweak the settings to get the picture to look like how you want it.
You don’t have to do much in most cases, just a few changes to the exposure, contrast, saturation and/or grains will usually get you the desired result.
HOW DO YOU ADJUST THE SKIN TONE AFTER APPLYING THE PRESET?
This can feel like a tough nut to crack if you’re first starting out. But if you feel that any preset is blowing your skin’s colours out of proportion, just go to the Colour Panel and play around with the ‘Saturation’ and ‘Luminance’ of the ‘Orange’ and ‘Red’ Colours.
CAN I USE THESE PRESETS FOR MY PROFESSIONAL BLOG/INSTAGRAM?
Yes! Absolutely! Once you’ve purchased these, they’re yours to use.
HOWEVER! You cannot distribute these further. All the content and products sold on this website are copyrighted and any unauthorised use, distribution, resale and misuse of the Studio Adete presets will unfortunately bring forth legal action on the perpetrator.
Since these are digital products, returns and refunds are not possible. But if you do run into any issues with the preset, you can always write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will come to your aid within 48 hours :).
